María Culman is from Colombia. She is a digital-agriculture passionate and a data-driven agronomy believer. Until December 2018, she carried out as a Researcher and Developer at the Center of Excellence and Adoption on the Internet of Things (CEA-IoT) based at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB) in Colombia. She received her B.Eng. degree in Energy Engineering and her B.Eng. degree in Mechatronics Engineering in April 2014 from UNAB. In July 2018 she received her M.Sc.Eng. degree in Telematics from UNAB.
She is a Leader in Innovation Fellow 2018/2019 from The Royal Academy of Engineering (UK). Her research interest includes the Internet of Things and Machine Learning for agroindustry and environmental areas. She is particularly interested in promoting Site-specific Agriculture and Remote Sensing.
